Contractors.com
Uses deceptive methods to provide fraudulent leads and misrepresents their services

Shops, Products, Services

Contractors.com presents themselves as a referral company for homeowners to find contractors. They collect 25 dollars from customers and makes the leads they provide seem like its a good deal...

Upon closer examination once you get started you will find they will set a pre pay balance (100.00 or more) for the "leads" and then charge an additional 100.00 a month for their "service" on top of the 50 to 75 dollars per "lead" they provide.

Their goal is to send you whatever leads they can as quickly as they can in order to charge you as much as they can as fast as they can. Once you learn they are worthless they will only send you more garbage leads.

These leads are a fraud. They offer to only replace them with more but those are as much of a fraud as the others.

Once you get the name and address of the "homeowner" needing work and do a simple assessors office check to see if the name and address match who is legally on the title you will find either the name or address is invalid. You may also get the name and address to match the tax records but as in my case it was an economically challenged elderly woman with no knowledge of contractors.com let alone a computer.

If you fall for their fraud you will be billed for hundreds of dollars for leads that have little or no value because they are fraudulent.
If you are a homeowner in search of a local independent contractor id suggest a trip to your local independent lumberyard or hardware store for ones you might find there early in the morning in a hurry to get to work. If you are a contractor and need leads you will get ripped off with garbage leads from contractors.com
