Allowed me to find job leads across the country from homeowners

After being in the construction business for a while now, over 5 years we are always looking to expand our business. Like most contractors, the majority of our work comes from referrals and traditional advertising. Unfortunately the world has changed and we don't seem to be getting as many leads from friends or the Phone Book - I miss the old days.

Anyways we decided to sign up with everycontractor.com on their FLP program which guarantees that you get 12 job leads in a 12 month time.

At first the leads I tried to call didn't pan out, but I later realized that part of that problem was my fault because I didn';t pick up my leads within 24 hours.
Homeowners don't like to wait for a contractor forever, if a homeowner wants to get an estimate on installing a bamboo floor (or whatever) then my best advice is to call them ASAP, if you don't they will find somebody else.
I guess my point is that Everycontractor.com did send us leads, and at first I thought they were no good. Fortunately I came to find that if I called the homeowner quickly I won a few of the jobs.

I spent $1000 on the year service and I won 2 jobs that gave our company a nice little return on investment - ROI.
The internet is the new phone book so if you need job leads you had better start working the internet,
