My husband purchased a 1/4 CTW Entangled heart diamond necklace for me on December 1 and gave it to me for Christmas. I have worn the necklace no more than 4 times. After the last time I wore it, I noticed that the so-called "rose gold" had turned blue/black.
My husband took the necklace to the Potomac Mills Mall today (4/27) in Woodbridge, VA to see if he could get a refund. The individual there told my husband that for $39 they could "recoat" the gold and it would be good as new.
When my husband came home and told me this, I became livid and called Zales customer service directly. I was informed that since it had been over 100 days since the item was purchased, a refund would not be allowed. Unless, we took the item to the Zales store and they could attest to the fact that it was indeed defective. When I shared with them that my husband had already been to Zales and they wanted $39 to ship it off to get "recoated", I was told that it needed to be cleaned.
Word to the wise, don't purchase anything from these thieves.
