Misleading/Smooth talking commercials

What a JOKE! Avery A/C company in Houston has been advertising a commercial on several different radio stations in Houston, Tx. Stating all of these appealing offers, like no interest on financing, honesty in their product, waranties included ect. Well we were smooth talked into purching a new unit last May. Was told our current unit was so outdated that we would have had problems even having it serviced, plus we thought with the great deal the radio was advertising at that time, why not? Well let me just tell you, within 30 days if it being installed we were already making servive calls.

Each time the unit cycled, it would shake the whole house, like it was falling apart. Even our previous unit (which according to Avery was an antique) never caused that kind of racket! Then when the service guy came out, said the racket was normal, and charged my husband over one hundred dollars for a service call that they just installed. I did'nt find out til weeks later that he wrote them a check, or I would have called the company myself, but it was after the fact. Ok so every month when my husband pays the monthly bill for the a/c he complains, re: hearing the commercial that states no interest on financing, and is puzzled because he has been billed for interest all along.

I today called Avery to complain about interest charges that are tacked on to our bill from the get go. Got alot of run around, rudeness, and finally was told I would have to call the bank that financed the loan to complain about the interest. She said the special with no interest just began recently, but could give me a start date for the special, because they have different financing specials going on all the time, just not however when we signed up. Just kind of curious if we were the only family in Houston who got taken on a ride on the Avery Train?
