Honesty above reproach Yea right!

I called Avery's AC company after hearing all the wonderfull ads on the radio about honesty above reproach & not making any profit in his services but just wanting to keep their men busy. I was told after a few minutes that they're was no way they could compete w / the prices I had been quoted by other company's & I should jump on it. He further explained that all the discounts & so on that are mentioned on the radio only apply if you are buying a top of the line model. I was given a $4k quote to replace just a 3 ton furnace & coil located in a garage closet. That didnt include the unit outside or anything else. I can buy the unit myself for around $800 so I'm curious as to why the extra $3200 in cost comes from. If I wanted to go w / the upgrade whole package I was looking around 12k.
