Unresponsive d.V.R

I have had Verizon fios for over four years, and had terrible problems with the d.V.R. There is a problem with the responsiveness when pushing the remote control buttons. Sometimes they work, sometimes not, sometimes they work, but after a 10 to 20 second delay. This is a problem when you fast forward, and cant get the d.V.R. To stop, or go back to play. There are other times when the remote stops working properly. Its been very frustrating.

Verizon had been telling me for years that they have never heard of anyone else having this problem, and have sent many techs out to look at the problem, but none of them could fix it. They sent out at least ten different d.V. Rs, but the problem continued. I wrote them so many times, they quit answering my emails.

After I finally went to Verizons own online forum, I saw page after page of people having the same problem as I have had. There were no answers to this problem.

I contacted the c.E. Os office and was called by someone from upper management, and after I told him of all the posts to Verizons forum, he did admit that the problem was known of, and that they were looking for a fix. There is suppose to be an update in June or July that might fix the issue.

Verizon has not been helpful on this issue, but they have credited my account almost a thousand dollars over the past four years, for the trouble Ive had. I would rather have the problem fixed. And I dont like that they lied to me for four years about not knowing about it. They wasted a lot of money sending me more d.V. Rs and sending techs out to pretend to try and fix the problem. I will wait a few more months, to see if they actually fix this problem, and if not, will find another company.
