Rip-off! Dishonest! Damaged furniture! Rude!

Manassas Transfer in Virginia stored our furniture on their truck in between moves — they assured us this was safe. When our furniture was delivered six weeks later we discovered there had been a leak in the truck and our bed and 2 sofas had significant water/mold/mildew damage.
They took the bed and tried to "fix" it — it was not the way I gave it to them, so I refused it. The owner became extremely angry and began yelling at me on the phone using poor language.

He threatened me about not accepting the bed. He then accused me of lying about the sofa and that I "spilled water" on it and I just want a new one. We have written proof from the Chem-Dry that the damage was during the storage period.

The company refuses to do anything more and has been rude and abrasive with us rather than apologetic. They claim they are not liable — the right thing to do is to replace the damage they have created. A company that is not honest and does not do the right thing is no one to do business with! Beware!
