Co. Rip-off! Incorrect Product, No Refund!

I recently attempted to purchase an Ink Cartridge from a company in Rittman OH and received the wrong merchandise in return for the money paid and a run around on a refund. On May 17th I purchased 1-Compaq "12A19980" color Ink cartridge from The Family Ink Co. Located at 11566 Steiner Road, Rittman OH 44270-9735. It is my belief that this company is an at home business by one individual. The companys email address is thefamilyinkco@villiageinks.com. They do not list a phone number for their business.

I received this product on the 21'st of May and found out that it was not the proper cartridge for the printer that I use, a Compaq IJ700. When a cartridge is properly installed into this printer it "snaps" into place, to secure the cartridge. I noticed the top on the cartridge sent to me was different than all other cartridges previously sent to my by other ink cartridge distributors. It did not have two notches on the back of it. It is obvious now that they were sending a similar item, close to what I wanted, but did not care that it was not the correct cartridge type for my printer.

I called to the Family Ink Co. To inform them that I would like a replacement that is the correct cartridge for my printer. I also emailed the company several times on this matter. I was able to get through by phone and was told that they would replace this incorrect cartridge with the correct one. I returned the cartridge.in the month of June I received the second cartridge. It was the same as the one I just mailed back to the company and did not work or fit into the printer.

I emailed the company and stated that they were ripping me off for my money. I was told in a reply email that if I sent this cartridge back to them they would give me back my money. I mailed the second cartridge back to them on the 9th of June. Since that time I have not heard from this company again, although I have emailed them several times.

I would like a full refund of $32.49 for the cost of the cartridge and the postage for the two return mailings.
I feel this company does not act in good faith, or in the interest of the public.
