Printer problems never sorted - HP

I have a PSC 2355 all-in-one and have had nothing but problems with it since I got it seven months ago. I moved house so mislaid the warranty but no-one wants to help and I feel so angry with HP that I have out everyone off ever buying anything of theirs again. I just want the printer to do what it should and PRINT! But there are error messages like 'check the colour cartridge' when it's been working two minutes before, 'cartridge depleted' when it's a new cartridge, and all the help I get is, 'well buy another cartridge then'. Their products are awful, their help worse.
