Office Max
Ripoff didn't change prices on clearance items

Shops, Products, Services

I went into Office Max to buy a camera and was given a price of $349.00 I told them if was listed as $229.00 on the internet.

They checked it out on the computer and it was listed as $229 so I got the "last one" in the store.

I went to the parking lot and opened the box the camera was in and could not get the lens to come open. I bought new batteries and it still didn't work. Bty they just handed me the box and it was not sealed.

I went aback into the store and told them it didn't work and they gave me the one on display.

Mind you now, it didn't have a card in it to take pictures so they gave me the one from the "new" camera that didn't work.

We checked the lens and it worked ok. I got home to take pictures and when I went to download them to my computer I had
pictures from a store party or dinner at office max which made me think this was used before and probably broken by someone in the store and put back on the shelf.

It had to have worked before because the lens has to open to take pictures.

Also the strap for carrying the camera was not in the box nor the batteries that were suppose to come with it.

I will never buy from them again.

The camera was not on sale as being used. It was on sale by Olympus as a clearance...
