Mobile Telesys, Inc -Recycled Account Numbe

I was a customer Of Mobile Telesys, Inc also known as Verizon in 1999. I cancled my service in 2000. I followed through with my contract and made all my payments on time.

Recently, I recieved a collection notice from Mobile Telesys, Inc. I was being billed $350.00 for defulting an Equipment Activation Agreement. According to a representive, my account number was given to a new customer and that customer had broken a contract with Mobile Telesys, Inc. Therefore, my name was still attached to the old account number and the old account number and my name were sent to a collection company by the name Wireless Recovery, LLC.

I have written to Wireless Recovery, LLC to dispute the collection notice and I have not recieved a response. I have also called Mobile Telesys, Inc. Each time that I call I have to hold twenty minutes before getting a representative (I get a representative by the name of Courtnie each and every time). The representative said that she could not do anything and that I have deal with Wireless Recovery, Inc. I have also tried talking to a supervisor and have not been able to speak to anyone of authority. Mobile Telesys, Inc has not been able to provide me with a phone number for Wireless Recovery, LLC. They have not provided any assitance in correcting the problem that they have caused. It has been the most painfull situation that I have ever been through.
