Be forewarned, go elsewhere. My sister recently died in a car accident in Anchorage. I called to make an appointment for her daughter to pay for a cremation. And from the very first contact with this retched funeral home, I was treated like c* and made to feel as I was the one serving them. It turns out the unprofessional, brainless woman who spoke to me on the phone was the owners daughter named Chelsea. She transferred us to someone else for scheduling, and he turned out to be just as bad. He stuttered and stammered his way through what should of been an easy process. He scheduled an appointment for their Eagle River funeral home. It turns out that this clown is one of the owners and is named Jordan Eastman. He sounded as if he were a teenager doing a summer job. We arrived at the Eagle River funeral home on time and waited 45 minutes for the Rep to arrive. During this time, my grieving sister could not get her car into the lot, as it had not been plowed in a very long time. I had fortunately left my plow on my truck, so I cleared a path for her. The Funeral rep arrived, he reeked of booze, and looked like he had slept in his clothes over night. His name was Doug M. I asked him why he was late and why the lot was not cleared. He took a defensive tone and said the owners don't care about this location and it's not a priority for plowing. I asked why then do they claim to be local when they are clearly not, he said it's not his problem and I should call the owner if I had a problem. He continued to treat us like c* throughout the rest of our appointment. I called demanding a call from the owners and a letter of apology. Im still waiting. Save yourself from more pain, be smart and go elsewhere.
