Dignity Memorial at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens
Provided inadequate service with harsh attitudes and no willingness to reimburse

Aside from the historical Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, is Dignity Memorial Funeral Home, where disorganization, lack of communication, and pure incompetence casts a dark shadow on a delicate moment. I would steer everyone away from working with Dignity. They don't know the meaning of the word.

My grandfather's funeral was the most horrific experience of my life, due to the way Dignity Memorial handled their business. During the arrangement no option was given to us besides "you MUST pay the full amount at the time of the funeral." Shortly after, we were abandoned by our funeral director, she went on vacation and did not go further with the funeral we thought we were having. Later she blamed us and discriminated against us for her own incompetence. She didn't check her email when it was the only form of communication she gave to us. The obituary did not run on time. We were incredibly dissatisfied and asked to not be charged for the obituary.

Instead of making their customers happy, they instead threatened us and said we could take our funeral elsewhere, DURING the wake, and threatened to call the police if we didn't pay for the obituary. Dignity Memorial was completely out of line. It was the most disrespectful and unnecessarily hurtful experience of my life. Funeral homes should show some compassion, rather than making us feel like our funeral was a burden on them.
