Ripoff a collectibles company that should really be a collection agency its in their name

I recently order some holiday ornaments from Lenox Collections and fell behind in paying them. Now they ahve threatend my credit and I have recieved 5 collection notices from 5 different collection companies here in the USA. Ironically 2 collection companies are here in NY and other from Ohio. Why cant they just send the whole entire debt to one collector. They are a rip off and deserve to have no credit reporting capibilites. I will never order from them again. Now it will probally show 5 different times on my credit report, well I heard it is against FTC rules for them to do this I will have to contact them I guess.
