Clear is a wireless internet company that provides subpar internet speeds and when I cancelled my account back in September of I thought that was the end of it. I didn't notice that they had continued to take funds from a credit card until they sent an automatic email describing the payment for this last month. I called and told them that I cancelled and asked why I was all of a sudden paying again for service that I did not purchase and they told me that I was supposed to call them back again and tell them that I didn't have anybody to take over my account.
I was under no obligation to keep an account open with them and they never told me that I had been paying all this time. I sent their modem back to them when I cancelled the service also. I don't know how they justified continuing to charge me when I didn't even have a modem and wasn't using their service. I checked my bank statements going back to September and realized that they never stopped charging me. Their customer service reps were hard to understand and seemed clueless. I asked them when I would get a confirmation on my cancellation and they said that they don't send those. This is a very shady company that needs to be stopped.
