Ripoff do business with a different security company. I think this company is quite lame

In i moved to an 'improving' neighborhood. I contacted a friend who was selling security service for a company called 'Crime Free'. He told me that i could renew the contract after three years and that the company would move the system and service if i moved into another house. Later that year, the company was bought by Monitronics.

I moved into another house in 2001; contacted Monitronics with the new occupant on the line also and we asked that the contract be changed into his name. The Monitronics agent stated that the contract was now Tim's responsibility. I asked that service be established at my new address—nothing ever happened— no new system in my new house. I figured that there was no problem and there was no more business with Monitronics... Wrong answer!

Tim moved out of his house last october; i began receiving bills for the service at that house (tim informed me that the system never worked reilably anyway) i call the company and am informed by them that they can 'only cancel after may' and 'we are going to turn your account over for collections'

I paid the 'past due' amounts because arguing with these people is a big waste of my time. All i can say is—do business with a different security company. I think this company is quite lame.
