A link from the IRS website says that this is a free tax service for people whose income falls under a certain amount but it turns out, that the service costs 36 dollars not for filing, they say, but for the use of the tax construction service. This was not made clear on the website until one finishes inputting the tax information and then one must pay to have the file submitted to the IRS.

Customer service was rude and unhelpful.
