Returned 1 box to rcn's drop site on 9/02 it wasn't credited until 9/10 when the main office picked it up

I down graded my service from 3 boxes to 2. I was told by RCN to take the box to their drop site, which I have a receipt on 9/2. I was charged until 9/10 for this box because that when RCN said they picked the box up. I feel this is criminal for the simple fact, that RCN can pick the box up when ever convenient to RCN and still charge for a service that, s not being provided.
