This item (6 drawer dresser) was delivered last night, 3/22/04 @ 7:30 pm.
The botto piece is broken in half, and the drawer is broken in the back.
I was told today, 3/23 that a call tag will be issued to return this item but I would have to charge this item again in order to get a replacement sent out.
I don't know what kind of business you are trying to run there but I do not have another 500.00 to charge on my credit card to get a box of particleboard again.
This is the worst service I have ever experienced.
I cannot believe that for 500.00 I have to put this item together myself.
I cannot believe that you took so long to ship this to me.
I cannot believe that you had no way of tracking where this order was from day one.
I cannot believe I have to charge another dresser to get this replaced. This was over 500.00.
Now I have to wait up to 5 days for someone to pick it up, another 10 days after that to get a credit, then I have to order it again, and wait another 4 weeks to get this via ups and anticipate this happening again. That means I would not see another dresser replacement till
June three months!
Does that make any sense to you whatsoever?
I demand complete credit for the product including the shipping and the "overweight shipping" I had to pay to ensure the product would arrive at my door undamaged.
I cannot tell you how livid I am about this.
I am a single mom. Working, going to school, no car, with a 10 yr old little girl who needs and was really looking forward to having a dresser, now that I was finally able to afford one.
I will never order anything from sears again, nor will I ever set foot in your stores again.
In an age where technology and customer service is key, you fail at every level.
