VoiceStream - Worst in the Business Terrible Service

First, it took 2 months for VoiceStream to set up my phones. I bought a family plan with 2 phones from the internet. The phones arrived, but pre-loaded with a phone exchange which is long distance from my house. After about 25 hours on the phone, several calls to their executive offices, trips to a local store, 4 phones arriving at my doorstep, overbilling my credit card, they got my phone working. Then I started getting 2 bills. Each month.

The service was terrible. Dropped calls, fast busy signals, voice mail inaccessible, voice mail indicator not working. Many calls. For HOURS at a time with the service reps who told me to "each day take the battery off and let the phone set for 5 minutes." Every 2 weeks, they cleaned out my voice mail, including all saved messages, and I had to reset up my voice mail (no small task with the millions of repetitive options). Finally, the last straw. My daughter's school called me with an emergency. The phone was sitting on my desk, next to me as usual. The phone didn't ring, nor did I get a voice mail indicator letting me know that a message had been left. I called them, and after 3 hours of arguing. I told them to cut the service off, and I would refuse to pay an early termination fee (I had already had the phone 10 months). They agreed.

Now, I get a bill, calls all day and night from their collections department, and a bill from a collection agency. They say I owe them for an extra month, and the $200 termination fee. I refuse to pay, no matter what the "credit record" blackmail. I have another phone, through another company that has a full signal all the time, I get my voicemail, and I haven't even needed to call their customer service!
