Ripoff No such thing as free trial

I thought I would try the Match.com internet dating out of curiosity, so I logged onto Match.com and completed the profile information. It said it was free to look. I looked at the ads once-in-a-while just to see what was there. I was searching one day and an ad popped up saying "free trial" for the phone message portion of this service.

There was nowhere on the ad stating that you had to call and cancel. It simply said "7 day free trail, " and to cancel before seven days or your card will be charged, didn't even say how much.

I tried the seven day thing and then I logged on and I cancelled the whole profile within 6 days. I could not find anything that said who, what or where to call or contact to cancel, hence the reason I cancelled the whole thing.

It gets bad. I got a notice from my bank that my account had been overdrawn by $4.00 and that I was charged a $50.00 NSF fee. I called the bank in a fury because I know I had (right before pay day) at least $14.00 remaining according to my records.

Well, need I say why? Yes, one (1) day after I signed up for the so-called "7 day free trial" my account was debited $19.95!! I was not notified that these charges were going to take place, nor had I approved of them. I sent one email after another to them. Nothing in return. I finally found their 800# and called them.

Guess what? You know already. They didn't care and were beyond rude and condiscending. I told them they had charged me before the 7 days, and everything else. Guess what? You know already. They didn't care. I sent one nasty email after another to them. No response. They still have my $19.95 and I am still in the whole $50.00 from my bank. Talk about a rip-off!!! So, singles out there, if you are thinking match.com, please re-think it!
