Amex ripp off at offering customer and mis-leading information in website

Shops, Products, Services

Don't sign up for anything which is offer by Mail. They are trying to rip you off.

Long story short, I would like to inform you that about my accident which was happen with Amex card service. First of all, I thought it is great to have one additionally green card from Amex, so when I receipt the offer letter from Amex, so I reviewed the offer letter, and it said annual fees is $95. And I tried to look at website for activation, it said "Pay no annual fee for one year - a savings of $95".

So I thought, it is great to get activate online, instead of activating with mail. Because you will save about $95 for a year. Right. So I activated the card by online, because I thought there is no charge for annual fee at first.

After 10 days of having green card, i was charged with $95 annual fees. So when I dispute that they said the offer letter indicated that the annual fee is $95. But when i talked about website activation, they said that doesn't apply for me, then they will not refund me back. So guys, please be careful and don't activate/sign up anything whatever you got offers from Amex via Mail.

If you serious need Amex card, you can simply go online and apply for it instead of waiting the offers from them. Getting the offers letter doesn't meant great offer for you, they want to rip you off, that's why they are sending the offers to you with 2 cents postage bar code to rip $95 for green card, $125 for gold card.
