These people are nothing but scam artists. I called last week to schedule a cleaning for a Val-Pak coupon for $79.95 for whole house steam cleaning. I was told that someone would call me the day before my appointment, and that they would be here between 9-11 this morning.

Nobody called me yesterday, and when I still hadn't heard from anyone at 9:00 this morning, I called them to confirm that they still had me down. "Lisa" said that they did have me scheduled, and that I was the second person who said that nobody called, and that her secretary hadn't done her job. I asked if the technician was running on time, and then she told me that he'd called in to report car trouble, but should be at my house within the scheduled time frame. I told her I had taken off work, but had planned to go in this afternoon, and she said I shouldn't have any problems.

At noon, Lisa called again and said that his van was being towed, but another technician could take care of me after he finished his other jobs. I ended up using a sick day and missing a whole day of work beause of this, but tried to be understanding since I know it's a small business and something things happen that are out of your control. At 1:20, "Kyle" called me to say he'd be at my house around 3:00. At 3:20, he called to say he'd be there at 4:00. When they got here, they immediately asked if they were cleaning the stairs.

I told them that my coupon said "whole house", so I assumed the stairs were included. I was told "We're trying to economize", and was informed that it's $60 per room, that the steam cleaning is just a refresher and doesn't include shampoo! When I told them this was shady on their part, the female in the crew said (rudely) "Well, it's right on your coupon". It is not! I then told them to get out of my house, that they're nothing but croooks, and that I was reporting them to the BBB.

When I called their office, "Lisa" wouldn't answer the phone but did call me back, but insisted that the coupon says this, but it doesn't. What it does say is "We also offer..." and one of the things listed is "dual cleaning for high traffic areas". Nowhere does it say that the steam is just a refresher and no shampoo is used, and that every room will be $60.

In my opinion, these people are nothing but scam artists, and I will tell everyone to stay away from them. I would have thought that they would have offered me a discount for all my trouble, but instead they tried to gouge me with higher prices! I don't know how they've stayed in business for over 15 years, as they claim on their coupon, but with service like this, I doubt they'll stay open much longer.
