Mayflower Moving - best value Moving Mayflower is a major ripoff, You would have better luck dealing with a sleazy used car salesman than with either of these companies

In September I moved from Southern California to central Oregon. Best Value Moving, a cotractor for Mayflower Moving and Storage did my move. This was for an entire household of furniture which they crammed inside an undersized van, stacking my furniture and valuables in an unsafe and irresponsible way. They did not take care to even pack my items properly. Many items had to be left behind completely.

The company represented themselves as a Better Business Bureau company which I later found out they were not.

I took out $50,000 in insurance to protect our things. Many items were broken upon arrival. The loss was well over $5000 in a very conservative estimate. They DID NOT provide me with proper compensation for my things and continue to treat me very rudely. Many of my items were antiques which I was told I would have to have appraised at my own expense if I ever had hopes of receiving compensation for them.

The so called claims department is a joke and continues to run me around. I feel I am being held hostage by my claims representative and that they have no intention of ever displaying any kind of integrity whatsoever.

Do not do business with them or with Best Value Moving Company of Valencia California. You would have better luck dealing with a sleazy used car salesman than with either of these companies
