Ripoff takes money for home improvement and does not perform the work, or refund your money

On Sept. 23, Bryan Wright requested, and was given, a $1000.00 deposit for materials that were to be delivered to my home the following day, for construction of a deck. The materials were not delivered, and he has never performed any work. Bryan had never applied for a permit to the township, yet had sent me a letter stating that the permits were applied for, and indicating that the project would be delayed, since he was waiting on the township to approve the permits.

The West Vincent Township office has no record of Bryan applying for any permits for this work at any time. Bryan has continued to deceive me, by calling on several occasions, stating that he will be mailing a refund in the form of a check. No monies have been refunded. It has also come to my attention that Bryan Wright has deceived several other homeowners in my subdivision in the same manner.

Bryan Wright does not return phone calls. He has not re-paid my deposit money.in my opinion, he enters a neighborhood and befriends one local homeowner. He will perform the work on time and will not deceive. This homeowner will then refer him to several other neighbors. He will line up the jobs, and request the down payments. He than disappears with your money.

He will call you a few times claiming he is owed money by other contractors. He does this to abate the law. He know just how much money he can deceive out of, without local authorities pursuing him. Here he has deceived three home owners for a total of $13,000.
