Verizon rip-off policy they dont even hide it! Unbeleivable!

First of all I want to say that we got fair service from verizon wireless while we were on the plan. Great prices too.

Here is where it gets weird. We cancell and were supposed to get a credit for 30.00. It even shows up in the bill. 6 months past still no refund.

So I call up customer service and tell them I didnt receive a refund. She told me to call the financial services of verizon.

So I call the Financial Services, while of course waiting for 20 minutes to speak with someone each time. I get another rep on the phone, after I tell her my refund did not get to me she said it takes 4 to 6 weeks to receive. And then attempted to hang up on me. Needless to say I said "wait just a second Its been 6 months why havent I received it". She said "let me trasfer you to customer service, did you speak with them" I said yes they sent me to you.

OK now here is the conversation ME and the Representative (REP)

ME: "Its been 6 months why havent I received my refund"

REP: " Did you call in and ask for it"

ME: "NO" "I received a bill after I cancelled stating the refund, plus when we cancelled the rep said he was sending the refund should be 4 to 6 weeeks.

REP: " I will submit your refund to our refund department, you should get your refund in 4 to 6 weeks"

ME: "Thank you" "I have a question before I hang up, is it your policy to keep peoples money or was this a mistake made.

REP: No Mistake was made we dont send refunds unless there requested.

ME: "So your saying if we dont request our money you guys steal it"

REP: "no sir, we dont steal peoples money, we put it into an account until they ask for it"

ME: "Wow verizon sure has a corporate scam going on" Imagine doing this to 100,000 customers multiply that by 30 dollars that is 3 million dollars"."And I am lucky I have a wife who is an account or else I would forget about the money and never give it another thought." "THAT IS A SCAM" side note: after waiting 20 minutes to talk to someone in financial. There is alot of people calling up.

REP: "Its our policy, do you want to speak to customer service"

ME: "My electric, insurance, car, ect. Have all in the past issued refund checks that have been over paid and most of them with out my knowledge. Do this companies keep my money, NO they send me a check when it shows they owe it to me why because that is whats right. "What verizon is doing is wrong" "Very wrong"

Rep: "Were a diffrent company, its not fair to compare us to insurance."

ME: "YOU sure are diffrent, thats for sure"

REP: """HUNG UP ON ME... I guess she couldnt explain why they keep peoples money. I guess its there policy.

* I still think verison is a better company than most but they diffinately should change there policy, because no matter how you loook at it they keep your money unless you ask for it back. Then lets see if I even get it... Or do I have to wait through an hour of phone lines to request it again.

Another note five years ago when verizon was bell I put in a 150 deposit for phone service because of a bad payment record in my past... When after one year of makeing good on payments verison was supposed to refund my 150.00. I have asked for it they show no record of deposit, I said if you show no record how was I supposed to get phone service. I never did recieve my refund back... Its all forgoten like the many other people who they have done this to... I guess is there policy to screw anybody and everybody they can queitely with out making a stir... Well thanks to this internet site I was able to tell my story... So be careful in all your transactions with this company and many other large corporations.
