Ripoff incorrectly charged

Last dec (02) i was contacted by bellsouth about a cordless phone they were advertising. The phone had caller id, 900 mhz, and some other features. I said okay, i need a another cordless phone i will take it. They said they would break it up in payment installments for me.

So about three days after x-mas i went out of town for about 6 to 7 months, and i had my phone cut off. When i came back i call to have it restored, of course i had to pay the bill in order to restore it.

So about a month later i receive a collection letter stating that i owed 244.10 cents from bellsouth. I called the collection company and told them that this incorrect i paid that bill, i had to in order to restore my service. The next month i receive another letter, so i get on the phone with bellsouth and inform them of the notice and they pull up my account and look and they said well it was for some equipment i had orderd from bellsouth and that part of the bill is considered non regulated charges and it would not prevent my service from being restored if it was not paid. So now i am like that phone did not cost 244.10. So they transfer me over to their equipment department they call inotrac.inotrac tells me that i was charged for a cordless phone and a caller id, and looking at my account they over charged me 104.92.

I tell them first of all not only did i not order a caller id, i did not receive a caller id. So you need to credit me for the charges of that caller id. They tell me by it being over 30 days they can't credit me for the caller id even if i didn't order it a nor received it. The best thing they can do is re issue me another caller id, once again i tell them i don't need a caller id.
They say that they would place a credit on my account for 104.92 and it should take 10 to 15 business days to reach bellsouth customer service dept.

I call bellsouth after that time and of course, they have not received anything. So i call inotrac back and then they tell me it would take 1 to 2 billing cycles. I call back after that and they still have no record of a credit. So then i ask them about the wrongful entry amount on my credit file and how were they going to handle that they said they couldn't do anything right now because the credit has not went thru.

So basically i'm telling everyone don't never buy anything from bellsouth and if you do make sure it is exactly what you order and that they don't charge you for something extra. Because after those 30 days bellsouth has a no credit policy.
