Returned goods no replacement

While departing Detroit airport for that UK I went right into a brookstone store in the airport and purchased a set of walkietalkies. After I got house they didn't perform ie no9 energy whatsoever. I named and emailled brookstone plus they recommended when i delivered the goods for them at my cost they'd deliver me alternative products. I delivered them back and obtained a check from their store in us dollars. I named them again and was informed they might not concern products. I queried why it was the situation wehn they explained they'd deliver me alternative products. Following a few calls between us they decided when i delivered the check they'd deliver me alternative products. I expected them to stop the check plus they stated this CAn't be completed? I published check again second October by airsure that will be authorized for article in the UK and today I'm suggested they've not obtained it and also the UK postoffice inform me the notice continues to be dropped. Brookstone inform me when they don't obtain the check back that I'll not obtain any reploacement products. I've advised them may they reissue the check subsequently plus they tell me no. And so I have settled cash for them but don't have any products and also have no reimbursement. The check they offered me was in people bucks and never what we'd decided thus i delivered this for them. I'm outofpocket significantly for them.
