Deceptive, dishonest

I first spoke with Chad Smith when I was looking for a moving company and explained it was between three companies. I told him the names of the moving companies. One of which was classic international. He sent me to this web site to check on the different companies. I called him back and hired him. I asked if he owned the moving co and would handle the move, I did not want a broker. He said yes. I told him I did not mind paying a deposit but would only pay the balance after my items arrived in Hawaii. He agreed and it is on my contract agreeing to this. I also asked if he excepted credit cards also yes and my deposit was paid with it.

While my things were being picked up, the driver demanded payment in full. My friend was supervising the pick up as I am already in Hawaii. She said no, please call Chad or me to varify. The mover called Mr. Smith and continue to load my stuff. They took it to the weight station and told my friend I owed apx $700.00 more. She asked for a copy of and to see the paper. They refused. She asked them to unload my stuff and she would call me and make diffrent arangement to ship my stuff. They refused, nor did they call me to inform me of the increase. A couple of days later classic international called me and said I needed to pay them in full in order for them to ship my things. Image my surprise to hear from Classic after Mr. Smith sending me to a site so I would not use them.

He then told me HE did not have any problems with them, and I should pay them. I reminded him of our contract. He said he spoke with a lot of people and probably told me the wrong thing and classic had a lock on all the shipping to Hawaii.

He has tried to intimidate me by yelling and attempting a three way call with classic. I have no idea where my things are. I am afraid to pay them as well as being afraid not to pay them. I have attempted to pay Mr. Smith the agreed upon balance. And the increased weight amt after my things arrive and are weighed in front of me. They are still refusing to ship my stuff. I have my Daughters baby pictures in my things.

This is an attempt to warn people and to have them just give me my things.intact and nothing missing.
