Ca internet security suite Rebate ripoff

I purchased the CA internet security suite 2010 back in february. I have not heard from the company on my rebate request, so I decided to check on the rebate. I was informed by the company that they did not have any record of my rebate being registered with them. After several emails back and forth, I was informed that they didnt receive my rebate request and that the promotion I was involved with was no longer valid and could not refile my rebate request. I am of the opinion that this was a scam from the beginning. One, they ask that you wait 8 weeks to receive your rebate. Two, If you wait the 8 weeks then you have gone past the 60 day refund window, so that removes the option of getting a refund from them. Three, once you wait the 8 weeks or so, (giving them the benefit of the doubt I gave them 4 months) you then are told that the promotion has expired and that they can not open a new rebate request for you because of said expiration. Sounds like a pretty good scam they have going there would like to know if anyone else has had this problem with them. I will not of course be renewing my subscription with them and would not recommend anyone do business with them as they seem to be con artists
