ML $50 printer rebate ripoff

I purchased a Samsung ML laser printer in June which came with a $50 mail-in rebate. I submitted the rebate form along with all the necessary items a week later and was the rebate was approved. 3 months later in October 06, I check their rebate website http://product. Samsung.com/cgi-bin/nabc/promotions/b2c_ditd_rebates_help. Jsp? EUser= and noticed that they have sent out my rebate on September 20,06. I figure I just needed to wait a few more weeks and I should receive the check in the mail. So I waited, waited, and now it is November, and I am still waiting.

In the past 2-3 weeks, I have been calling their rebate center and all I got was the run arounds. First time I was told they will reissue me a new check. I guess they can't back out of this one since it was clearly stated on their website that my rebate request went through OK. What really got me mad was when they told me it will take another 10-12 weeks to receive the new check. And they can't even guarantee that I will receive it for sure by then. That is totally unacceptable! So what if I don't receive the check in another 10-12 weeks? Am I suppose to go through this bull crap again? I spoke with a supervisor named Christina (employee #9546) and was told she will forward my request to the head office and assured me that this will be taken care of. I called a week later and was told to call in again in another week.

So I called again two weeks later, and to my surprise, I was told my rebate request has been resubmitted. So basically Christina lied to my face that this will be taken care of and all she did was resumbitted my request. I was also informed that I will have to wait 10-12 weeks to get my new check. Conveniently when I asked to speak to a supervisor, none was available. I guess they were all too busy "taking care" of other customers.

I always thought Samsung is a good company and a big company like this would not ripoff their customers this way. I guess I was wrong. Obviously, even if your rebate was approved, that still doesn't mean they won't rip you off! I suspect Samsung does this trick to a number of their customers hoping they will eventually give up on the rebate. Well, you know what, you may have robbed me of the $50 rebate, but you will lose me as a customer. I am putting you in my list and checking it twice when Christmas comes around. I know who I should NOT purchase products from ever again!!!
