Dish Network need to be investigated. They offer very poor service and their product does not operate correctly.

I had Dish from approx 2003 to 2007 and it worked great, now I talked my Mother into it and it has been an operational time consuming task just to keep the picture on the screen at all.

The initial tech installed the dish on the roof, apparently pointing thru trees. Then the first receiver / dvr went bad (hard disk failure I beleive) so I had to go thu and do the replacement. It never worked completely right, the picture smears, cuts up, becomes unviewable, etc... So I e-maile them. Oh no, the e-mail for service is just to waste your time, if the ACCOUNT owner does not call them they do nothing for you except write you back a "please call a tech and have them help you"

The tech wanted me to go thru steps that should have already been known not to solve this problem... My Mother finally had to call them... (When I was talking to them they told me that the account owner had to call to get a tech to visit.) They wanted her to go thru the same crap I did, what kind of records do they keep? NONE!!!

SO the tech comes and they want to charge my Mother for service, and he has to move the dish to get the error messagea and "searching for satellite" from preventing the system to work, the trees now had leaves and was being blocked.

So he does that and leaves... When I get to my Mothers (she is 79) the next week the picture smears, cuts up, is not viewable at times, especially in HD.

I asked my Attorney what to do, he told me that it is a known probpem that DISH uses two satellites and that the dish cannot point directly at both in most areas of the USA... And that their solution is to provide two dishes... Which I now see that a neighbor has...

So I wrote them and told them to either come out and fix it or come take it away. I do not feel they ever lived up to their end of the contract, and I feel that others who have experienced such crap should join me and figure out how to put together a class action suit against them, especially if they think my Mother is going to pay for ther cancellation of a contract that they never made good on, in my opinion.

Lets take this crap company out, or make them change and take care of their customers!!!
