I purchased a Sony under cabinet clock radio / DC / MP3 player via Amazon but when it arrived the MP3 component didn't work. I sent it back for a new one. I specified to the rep on the phone in the Phillipines that I wanted a new unit, not a refurbished one because I paid for new, not used or refurbished. I was assured I would get a new one. It took nearly TWO months and numerous calls to Sony in Laredo asking why I was still waiting for my radio. I was told they had a computer upgrade that backed things up... But really? The old one I had sent them, arrived in Laredo Sept 28th according to fed ex tracking... I didnt get a replacement radio till NOV 16th. And when I opened up the box it had REFURBISHED in large letters printed on the box. I am so mad... I was lied to and swindled. If I wanted a refurbished unit I would have paid less for it. I paid for a new radio and ended up with a refurbished unit after I was promised a brand new one.

After all the time I waited and all the phone calls to the Sony customer (DIS) satisfaction center, I was not about to send this one back as it all works and I like radio.

I just don't like getting lied to. I feel I deserve to be reimbursed for the difference in cost of a new unit vs a refurbished one.

OHHHH and I hated having to call the sony customer satisfaction center because they keep you on hold for... No kidding. Over 30 mins.in the end they were little help. I was told to expect a tracking number for the unit that was being sent to me. I never got one. The unit just showed up three days ago... Maybe I should have sent the unit back to the company that sold it to me. But they charge for shipping the unit back and Sony did not.
