Crums Climate Control - Brian Wrong
White and Wrong don't make it right and we have leftover Crums. They broke all promises to me

Called Crums to take advantage of flyer offer to discount price of Trane A/C if I was willing to change installation dates at moments notice. Agent arrived on May 21 and I signed a purchase agreement to have A/C installed on May 28. Agent phoned May 22 and stated he could install on May 23. I agreed because this qualified me for a $2195 discount. To this date Crums has denied the discount.

I contracted for a Trane A/C. The contract designated a Goodman condenser. Crum installed an Amana A/C and said that is what Goodman condenser meant Amana. I did not receive my Trane. They did not install a Goodman. I got an Amana twice the size of the Heil A/C they removed.

Crums guarantee is that the A/C should not vary 3 degrees plus or minus from the thermostat setting. My A/C varied form 4 to 6 degrees when the temperature exceeded 90 degrees outdoors. Crums denies that any A/C can deliver 72 degrees in 90 degree weather despite what the guarantee says. Crums will not honor their guarantee to me.

Crums guesses that my problem with poor performance could be my ducting. They want to charge me $500 to "correct" my ducting, although even upon inspection they could not definitively cite the problem. That's like getting a new radiator in your car and the mechanic not properly applying the hoses. Should I pay for the correction? Especially if he only guesses there may be a leak? Anyway, would I trust the same mechanic to correct his mistake?

Crums agreed to install a "doghouse", a framed screen to prevent theft, access to creatures like stray cats, and limit falling debris.instead they screwed a sheet metal shield over the duct connection to the A/C to stop further erosion of the sealant they had used to connect the duct to the A/C and they called this a "doghouse".

Crums Brian Wrong, in one of his last responses to Ripoff, threatened a slander suit against a detractor, effectively chilling future complaints. For all potential Ripoff complainants they should remember that when respondents threaten such lawsuits to quell or reduce the number of complaints, truth is an absolute defense against slander (oral disparagement, incidentally) or libel, written disparagement. What I described above is what I saw happen to me or is what my opion of Crums practices is.

Also, beware the back side of the initial contract from Crum. While it is not visible to the buyer, it commits you to resolve all disputes with Crums according to their terms in Orange County FL, a county to which I find Crum no longer has the nexus necessary to have standing. Buyer beware!
