7/15/09—Legacy Van Lines moved my belonging from Orange County to Austin TX. The movers were extremely unprofessional, unaware that I'd paid extra to crate 5 pieces (a protective service @ $50 per item! = $250 EXTRA); I brought it up & they said the materials were in the truck. Though the took my money, they did NOT crate the items and most arrived broken. Contract violation!
A glass table had a leg completely broken off, my $1000 modern entertainment center was dragged. There was a ton of damage, and many items never arrived at all.
The company would not sell me the extra insurance no matter how many times I asked (but they offered crating?) though my rep seemed to "forget" to include the info I wanted. She never said she wouldn't sell it, she just never got back to me, all 8 times, even though her favorite catchphrase is "Not a problem".
