Left service on for 9 months after we moved out of state last i checked if you miss your bill they cut you off

Had service with this company 4 yrs ago in miamisburg oh. Called day we were moving out of state to have service turned off. They confirmed it would be. A year later we get a bill in wyoming for 9 months of service after we left. And we are pretty sure noone was in the house. It was up for sale, i asked them if it was standard practice to leave cable on that long with unpaid bills. Rep didnt have an answer. Theyre not getting a dime.
