Internet Grant RipOff!

Shops, Products, Services

Yes, I was looking for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. They seemed to be promising money. I guess that's how most ripoffs work. Well I hastily signed up for a free trial of a service advertising Internet Grant Profits (GrantsMoney.com and Grants360.com). I guess I didn't read all the terribly fine print as I thought it would be a 3 to 7 day trial as usual, but then I noticed not only the $1.95 trial fee, but also a fee of $57.61 being charged to my card. This was within a day of signing up. I called them and was told it was a 24-hour trial and that the charges happen automatically. The lady I talked with said she would submit a refund form for me and the $57.61 would be refunded. I was happy with that, so I waited patiently. Almost 1 weeks later, I still had not received any refund so I called them once more. They explained that there was a form which I needed to fill out and send to them for the refund. She said she would email the form to me, but that if I did not get it in a reasonable time, I was to call again. I called again almost 1 week after that second call. Again, it was explained to me that in order to get a refund I had to fill out a form and send it in. This time I got the form. I answered all their questions and submitted the form. This was their response -

"Your email has been received by our department.

Upon checking the records it shows that your membership to
http://grantsmoney.com has already been cancelled and you will no
longer be billed.

This membership was originally a 1-day trial subscription for USD1.95.
This was fully disclosed on the terms and conditions page located on
the website: http://grantsmoney.com/external/terms

It is again listed as you entered your credit card details to join the
site. Http:/cs.com/grantsmoney.html

The website owners allow qualified people 24 hours access to review
the site for the $1.95 processing fee. Should you not wish to keep the
Trial Membership and have it converted into a Full Membership the
Trial needed to be cancelled. This is the reason why you have been
billed for USD57.61.

The website owners allow us to offer and compromise a partial refund
to you from the billing processor. The partial refund offer is for
USD41.61 of the USD57.61

Should you decide to accept the partial refund, please email us back
so we can process the request immediately for you."

I have let them know how angry I am and am awaiting another email response. Still nothing...
