J2 Continued to Charge My Credit Card for several months, after I canceled

I tried to take advantage of the '30-Day Free Trial Offer'. After using the service for a few hours, I called to cancel. I have an ATM card which I use for all online services. To be on the safe side (after being scammed by other 'free trials'), I reduced the amount of money in my account to be below what e-Fax would charge ($16.95) - in the event that my cancellation was not processed. I received an email in early March that my account could not be charged and that my account would be canceled. I called eFax customer support to confirm this. I also went online and removed the credit card information from my account, since it was still allowing me to log in. I received another email that my account could not be charged - and that it was going to be canceled (if only...). I, again, called customer service and was told that my account would be closed and that I would not have further charges.
Three months later, I mysteriously bounced a check (my first ever in this account... Which generated a $28 fee) as a result of eFax billing me. When I checked back, eFax billed me for April, May and June.
When I spoke with 'Melissa' in INDIA, she offered to cancel my service and refund the current charge (in 3-15 days, if the cancellation was APPROVED). I refused to be sucked in to agreeing that I was just NOW canceling my account. And am contacting the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General's office here in Boston.
To make matters worse, back in March - I was originally trying to use eFax to submit billing information (required a fax). EFax service did not properly transmit my attachment (after several failed tries... For which I was BILLED). As a result, I was 2-weeks late in receiving payment from a customer.
Horrible company. Lousy product. Horrible customer service. I will get my money back...
