Bright Effects, Bright Effects 40 Watt Manufactured By FEC Sold By LOWES NOT WORTH THE MONEY 2 Out Of 12 Fresh From Package Bulbs Were Defective 16% Failure Rate Not Acceptable

BACKGROUND
We fix things for a living. Client requested us to replace the dead CFCs in their exterior fixtures. We are replacing the Bright Effects/FEC 40w CFC in a candelabra base SKU 84878,2ct., distributed by Lowe's Home Centers. The replaced units were installed 2 years ago when we installed the new exterior fixtures. We purchased 6 packages of the previously mentioned CFC's. Of the 6 packages 2 bulbs were defective. They would not function fresh from the package.

PROBLEM
Is it possible, the manufacturer, FEC, is shipping bulbs with a 16% defective rate and, the distributor, Lowe's Companies, Inc. Is accepting of this? If so, their employees and investors are doomed to the same fate as other Ripoff companies. The consumer ultimately wins in a free capitalist society.

As I mentioned. We do this for a living. Vendors that perform with poor results are replaced immediately. Apparently, Lowe's has a low threshold for allowing vendors to push junk goods. Lowe's Management might want to take heed to what happens to distributors of faulty material.
