Hello,
I was employed at Royal Moving Systems Inc. Located at 3684 Clearview Ave Atlanta GA 30340.
I am writing to let you know that employees are directed to lie and deceive customers that are requiring a move..
For example: When someone has called to get a quote for moving services, they were to provide a list of their inventory. The sales representative then enters this into a software program to get the "estimated weight " of such items. At that point the sales representative subtracts 25% (from computed generated estimate) and then an additional 1400 pounds from the computer generated weight. The sales rep then gives this (deflated number) and "lowballs" the customer with this number. A required 200.00 deposit is required for the move (NON refundable) and an additional 60% of the total estimate prior to the move.
When the movers have arrived at the destination the full weight is presented incurring a much higher amount than the original quote (due to the deception)
* At the end of the day, I wanted NO part of this company and did not return.
I did check the BBB and they have an "F" rating. 36 complaints in 2008.
I also spoke to the Dept of Public Safety who are very familiars with the owner Suzanna Fries and let it be known to me they have an open file pending and while owner is shady, she has been clever to remain one step ahead of the game.
They have recently moved from 1 location to another and changed phone #s seemingly to avoid detection.
I also understand that after some investigation into this industry much corruption exists but it is certainly disturbing that this is continuing despite the company's tactics.
I hope that she will be shut down. It is a travesty that a company is allowed to manipulate a regulated industry.
