Home Owner Association: monthly payment for what?

Lordon Management manages multiple properties. Where I resided was a nice Townhome.in the monthly news letter, it appeared as if they were on top of things. Truth is, it was a nightmare! I paid my monthly HOA on time. After the rain, I had a bad roof leak followed by a bad case of mold in the garage. I contacted the HOA regarding this. They promised that the garage will be fixed ASAP.

4 years later going back and forth with them, it was never fixed. During that time, I've only received nasty letters from the HOA. All false allegations! I was even accused of vandalism on the wall and littering. C'mon. I'm in my late 30's and work for Social Services. When I received this so called "fines" in the mail. That's when I knew I had to leave. I guess they gotta make make money somehow!!! I've never dealt with anything like this ever!!
