Groomer Shaved My Havanese Bald

Don't go to this groomer! They don't respect the instructions of the customer and they make the customer sign a permission card that gives them the right to do anything they want to your dog. They shaved my Havanese which can cause serious problems for this breed of dog. You have to pay plus a tip in the front of the store before you are allowed to see your dog.

As of yesterday I now have a bald Havanese. I took an 8 X 10 PICTURE AND A LIST OF INSTRUCTIONS to give to the groomer. Those were the instructions I expected her to follow. She mentioned that she saw a few tangles but mentioned nothing that would have prepared me for what I found when I picked up my Havanese, Desi. Desi had been shaved and in some places to the bare skin. (I had brushed my little Havanese thoroughly the day before. There were a few tangles but nothing that would warrant a total shave.)

The owner stands by her Groomer. She brags that the groomer is a Vet Tech. That does not insure that she is creative or artistic when it comes to dog Grooming. Also being a Vet Tech, your groomer should have known that shaving a Havanese is a serious matter. They have no skin pigment so they are very susceptible to sunburn and skin cancer. Shaving also causes skin disorders, insect problems, and the hair may grow back in a way that he may never look like a Havanese again.

The owner also stands by her standard concent form that I signed. I suppose that legally give them the right to do anything they want to your dog.
