Monthly Bills Far Above the $69.93 Contract Price

This is good! I had Direct TV installed in Feb of 08 with a contract price of $69.93 per month.

I have to say something good: the service tech did a good job.

Anyway, I received my first bill in March, $92.06. I got on the phone and paid $69.93. April's bill was $79.93, I lost May's, June was $75.19, July $92.42, Aug $90.49, Sept. $94.70, Oct. $92.39, Nov. $97.65, Dec. $102.91, Jan 09 $108.17, Feb. $114.19. Mind you, there were no movies rented at all, no extras. Also, this was not a trickle-down effect; every bill was different.

I was done calling these people every month, so I had my husband handle February's bill. He was on the phone with ID #100162737 for just about 2 hours getting this straight. He explained the billing problems of the last year to her, and she assured him that, because of all the hassle, our next bill would be $69.93, and she even threw in 3 free months of Showtime and HBO. Did that get us anywhere? No.

The March bill came, $92.92. I called, talked to a supervisor, and called central. This is now our bill every month, not. I tried every avenue that I knew of, so I guess I'm stuck.

It gets better: April's bill came at a cost of $96.17. I got on the phone again. It seems that the March contact did not know that there would be a price increase, and $96.17 is now our monthly payment. I cannot wait for Feb. of 10 to come around so I can get out of this contract. Never in my life have I had to deal with this nonsense on a monthly basis. I am done. There has to be something better out there!
