Lied to make a sale, sold me a plan & phone that i did not recieve! They lie and decieve and when i did what they told me to do it ended up locking me into a deal i did not want!

Shops, Products, Services

In october I switched from Qwest Wireless to Verizon Wireless.

When I was with Qwest I had a 750 minute shared 2 phone plan, with unlimited long distance, unlimited text & picture messages and no roaming charges for 99 dollars a month.

I was transferred to Verizon Wireless from Qwest because Qwest was going to be doing away with their wireless program in February.

The salesman I spoke with told me they had a special for Qwest Migration...

That I would recieve the exact same plan I had through Qwest, 750 minutes, unlimited text, unlimited picture, unlimited long distance and no roaming charges PLUS two new Blackberry 8830 phones with car chargers and insurance for only 49 dollars a month!

Of course without shopping around I switched to Verizon. Who is going to offer a better deal than that? That is how I was pitched anyway...

Well... The phones that came were Nokia 6205. I called customer service and they told me to go ahead and activate the nokias and use them, that the blackberry's were just sold out right now and would be on their way soon. That when the blackberry's got here we would just send the nokias back with the return stamp in the same box. I said fine, and I activated the nokias.

About a 6 weeks later, I recieved my first bill... It was in the 500 dollar range! Apparantly the plan I was given differed from the plan I was pitched... in actuality I was given a 300 minute shared plan, unlimited long distance, NO unlimited text, NO unlimited picture and Verizon does charge for roaming. I also was not given any insurance.

It took me until December to get that straightened out. I ended up having to pay half of the fees, and they switched my plan to 700 minutes, unlimited long distance, unlimited text, unlimited picture and NO insurance for 99 dollars a month. So now I have a plan that is the same price but not as good as the plan I had through Qwest.

I was kinda blown off about the phones. So I continued to call since the Blackberry's never came. Everytime I was treated rudely. A few times I was hung up on... And when I did get someone who did not hang up they just told me that the phones were backordered and they would ship out as soon as they recieved more of them.

Around this time I started experiencing problems with my phone, and so did my husband. My vibrate option no longer worked and my speaker was blown. My husbands phone stopped making sound all together and both phones were powering down on their own. I called and complained a few times, was told someone would call me back to go through troubleshooting with us, that they were just really busy right now and backed up. Nobody ever called back. Finally in February I got someone who said she was going to send us two refurbished phones to hold us over until we got our blackberrys. I said fine, and the refurbished phones were sent out right away. We mailed back the old nokias and activated the new ones.

The new refurbished phones are worse than the originals! The back on my husbands kept falling off until it finally fell off and broke. My phone will not let me view my text messages... When I try to send a text message I will press the number 2 key and some other letter like Z or V will show up instead of A, B or C, a letter not even meant for that key. Both phones came scratched up. But we plugged through thinking our blackberrys will come and everything will be fine.

I called about these phones and was told nothing could be done until they showed the old phones were recieved, and sometimes that takes a few weeks because they get backed up and it takes a while for people to open the boxes and put in the computer that the phone has been recieved. So we waited and finally called back today.

Today I was told, there was nothing in the notes showing we ever complained about the phones being the wrong phone. We were told that since we activated the nokias we were recorded doing so and thus locked into the contract with those phones only and would not be recieving the phones we were promised.

We were also told we were stuck in our contract and that it would be 300 dollars to get out of the contract Verizon had breached. So now... We are stuck with a plan that is less minutes, charges for roaming, but same price as our old plan with qwest that we were happy with... AND with one phone that doesn't recieve texts, the keypad is messed up and the speaker is blown... And another phone that has to have the battery taped to it just to keep it from falling out. BOTH phones came scratched and ugly looking and no car chargers at all.

Who in their right mind would really switch to a company providing a less desireable plan and less desirable phones? This is ludacris! And now convienently their "NOTES" in the computer don't match up with anything I'm saying?

What a scam!!!
