Mr. Scalzo did a pour job on my kitchen. He asked for 50% down and the rest upon completion. He asked for cash and said he would discount the cost of the job if given. When he said the kitchen was complete there were so many problems. The doors were not on straight, the drawer boxes did not slide right, and lights that i was promised were never put in. I was told it was not part of the contract. He was never on the job site but left his son and his son's friend too do the work. I started too look into the company and asked for proof of insurance but was never given any. I came to find out he is only licensed to build cabinet's and not to install them. Later learning that he carries no workers compensation (and has no exemption) or any liabillty insurance should anything have happened in my home. I myself being in the industry should have checked out all of this before allowing him to work in my home. He was reffered by a friend and thought i could trust his work. I paid him 90% of the money he asked for and told him the last 10% he would get when things were fixed right. He made an appointment with me for a saturday morning and never called or showed up. When i tried to call his cell phone the number was disconnected.
