Fired driver over mechanically unsound truck

This company hires drivers and then just ignores any issues they have. A driver hired on with the company 5 weeks ago. First week tells them there is an issue with fuel gage/tanks. Truck is in the shop, supposedly fixed. Driver ran out of fuel with no fuel in one tank and the other tank is full.

Obviously, the issue was NOT fixed. Truck went back in the shop to be fixed again. This happened repeatedly during the 5 weeks the driver worked there. Last week, he was assured it was fixed this time. He took off and ran out of fuel AGAIN. And, again one full tank and one empty tank. The driver was then FIRED for running out of fuel.

Why not fix the truck? Or give him one that was road-worthy? Or maybe even FIRE the mechanics who kept NOT fixing the truck and telling him it was ready. What a lousy company. I would never suggest anyone get a job there. And they hire you at 40 cpm and when you get your check, they then explain why you are making 28 cpm. Jerks. If anyone else knows of any problems with this disreputable company, I'd like to hear about it.
