Took full payment of $1,669 for job and then jacked the price up over $1,000 to finish the work

Our company called the Phoenix Music Awards contracted with this printer to handle production of our printed event day program for one of our recent events called the 18th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards. The agreed upon price for 750 color copies in a thin magazine format was $1669. We agreed and paid the money on our debit card via telephone. Just two days before our event, Brandon, our sales rep put us off onto the owner of the business. The owner then contacted us and said that there had been a mistake and that the job would be costing almost $3,000 instead. The attitude of this most horrible individual was absolutely the most arrogant and brazen we have ever witnessed. He basically held our event hostage with this "ransom" he was seeking from us to complete a job we had already paid for in full 5 days earlier.
We were forced to pay the extra money because our event was only a 72 hours away and we had our backs against the wall. The printed program was a vital component to our production and without it our credibility would be lost. When we finally agreed to the ransom after spending nearly an hour on the phone arguing about it, he actually had the audacity to laugh, very loud I might add while demanding our credit card number! It only gets worse from here.
When our programs got delivered on show date of November 20th, both the front and back cover were completely pixelated and the color scheme from the original design had been totally altered. When we looked on the inside back cover, we noticed that the printing company that screwed us had taken it upon themselves to place a beautiful half page color ad, perfectly printed of course, that was advertising their business to our event patrons! In effect, we were promoting a company that blatantly stole over $1,000 from us and delivered a grossly sub-standard product. We would have to advise anyone reading this to not do business with this company.
