My partner is incarcerated in the USA and I live in the UK I have to send money to a friend and she has to get a money order as we don't have those over in the UK, this takes up to a week for her to get this and then she sends the money order to him and by the time it arrives it takes up to 2 weeks. I have a local number to his facility so you'd think it would be OK. Noway. We have dropped calls constantly we don't do 3 way calling or any of that stuff they say. I have been on a call for 3 minutes and we get cut off and this can happen 6 or 7 times, or we can get echo's we have even experienced others on our line, I send him $100.00 a month and this doesn't cover our call costs and the robbing people refuse to reimburse us. This last few days I have had to get a friend over in the states to open a prepaid account at the cost of $57.00 to me just so he can have his sanity. Now when he calls it says I am being charged on a collect call, I have called these people and they have been down right rude and uncooperative, I have sent them 100's of emails over the last 8 months and they refuse to listen, they at one point sent an engineer to look at the phones and he even pointed out that the lines was so bad but they couldn't do anything about that. Now come on I am being ripped off left right and center. We are paying for a service and not receiving that service due to lack of understanding and sheer greed. They should know when it is reported that the calls are continuously being cut off it should show on their exchange, so why is it they don't reimburse the inmate on his credit / account. Ludicrous
