Abusive Customer Service—Despicable Behavior. Usa

One of their customer service reps told me I could use a Verizon phone I wanted to purchase via eBay. I bought the phone.

When I attempted to activate it, I couldn't do so. I went through multiple calls. Finally I was told to visit one of their local stores. When I went there, I was directed to a second store... And from there to a third store!

At the third store, they told me that Verizon does not allow phones on its system unless purchased directly from them! I was livid. I informed them of their rep's promise and demanded they activate my phone or refund my money.

They refused, so I started repeating my demand, making sure that other customers knew what had happened. Verizon threatened to have the police remove me!

I left, cancelled the service and allowed damage to my credit report rather than pay their bill.

I will NEVER have Verizon service again, even if it were to mean going without a cell phone.
