Notice for $1160 Debt From 1988 With No Documentation

So glad I looked this company up here. They just sent me a notice for a past due debt of $1160. I called them, & was told the debt originated in 1988! They could not even tell me who the original creditor was, only that they had purchased the account from Ameristar Financial.

I have no outstanding debt & I have no memory or documentation of my financials some 20 years ago! This company is a scam & they do not even deserve a response from any of us. Don't fall for it!
